Chemical Heartbreak

This routine was my 3rd place winning L4 dramatic division competition routine at NWAAC in Seattle, WA in November, 2015. The story is very personal to me, and I interpreted the song, Medicine's "Daughter" as a story about the isolation of addition. When I was in my early 20's I was addicted to methamphetamine and for a period of time, the addiction felt like a prison that I couldn't break out of. Now, after 10 years of being sober, I was finally able to tell that story through movement...though I've never been able to put it into words very well.
